Moqueca's seafood stew - by Ellie

The sun was just starting to rise over the morning waves and Moqueca was already out and about the town. Moqueca is a bit different from some of the others on her island. She always wears rollerskates but otherwise she just likes the rest of the people on her island. She has purple skin, yellow hair and four legs. In her town she is famous for her seafood stew that she named after herself. She is also famous for her beautiful floral bathingsuit tops. Maqueca was swimming in the waves, collecting fish for her stew. She was collecting fish when she started to get hungry. So she closed her eyes and started thinking of her lunch, she was going to have later. When she opened her eyes, the entire ocean was pickles! The water was pickle juice and the seaweed was cut up pickles. But when she opened her eyes again, everything was normal. She was a bit disappointed, but kept fishing. When she git home, she put the fish in pot and started to cook them. But she forgot to get some seasoning, so she called to her kids, to watch the fish while she went out. She quickly skated to the store. But when she got there, she realized that there was nothing left. Then she remembered, that her whole family was coming for dinner. In a panic she went to the seasoning store and thought "why didn't I come here first?" Then she realized, when she walked in, that everything was overprized. She had wasted too much time. Her family would be there any minute and her stew wasn't ready. Quickly she grabbed all the stuff she needed and checked out. Her total was over five hundred dollars, but she had to be quick. So she paid and left. When she got back, she put all the seasoning in but then the doorbell rang. She rushed over and her family was there. She tried to explain what happened with the stew, but one of her siblings said that her children called and told them about what had happened and they all brought something. Each of her siblings brought an ingredient to add. They put it next to the pot and started to help her cook. They brought tomatoes, onions, garlic,lime, coriander, palm oil, and coconut milk. Once they were done, it smelled delicioces, so they each took a bowl and sat down for a delicous seafood stew.
